Fictional Taiwanese and Philippine teams

This is meant as a replacement for the CPBL, sort of, and also a series/ sequel to my fictional Korean and Japanese teams. It's another outlet for me, a person who had not previously made visual art, yet has now acquired the ability to draw a bird a day.

Once again, I am not from these backgrounds, and could easily make a cultural misstep. Please call out and correct me if necessary. Team names will mostly be endemic animals (Uni-Lions and Brother Elephants are not found in the wild in this country). I think I'll probably use English for these as opposed to google translate Chinese or Filipino; English is pretty widespread in these countries and is used in their sports team names.

*note on the name of the country: I am aware that this is a whole issue.
*likely I have even more caveats but here are some things I drew

Giant Isopods your city name here

I will also try to include versions of my logos without city names

The Giant Isopods in your city

people keep them as pets

they are popular as phone cases in Japan

I personally found out about giant isopods from an Avatar the Last Airbender fanfiction, I thought I should mention

Manila Celestial Monarchs

In the tradition of the Kansas City Royals and Montreal and Kansas City Monarchs, here we have the Manila Celestial Monarchs, who are named after a small blue bird

I mean, Lions, Tigers, Dragons, Bears, Bulls, are all quite common in the East Asia circles (in terms of culture and acceptance). Elephants, Eagles/Hawks as well.

Teams are using these animals as part of the team names to draw power/strength/spirit

Isopods do not make much sense.

You can easily make a dozen teams from the Chinese Zodiac (12 animals).

These are all super. Excited for this set, you just keep getting better and better. I love the colours you've picked.

Personally my isopod was drawn to somewhat resemble an East Asian dragon! mostly I am just drawing what I want to, and making sure there are no duplicates in my game. In real life, there are Tigers in the top leagues in the US, Mexico, Japan, Korea, the Dominican Republic, and Venezuela, if I haven't forgotten any - they do live in Korea (or did), so thats where I've put them.

Now I do agree though that these three teams could be more connected to their localities (the Philippine teams merely feature birds that are endemic to the large islands the cities are on, while the isopod basically lives in every ocean). This is something I do try to do/did somewhat more successfully I hope with some of my prior teams.

I love the Isopods! Yeah, totally get the trying to be more particular to the locale, but I also mainly like animals haha, and it's always going to be difficult to have a very city specific animal in many cases!

Taichung Bobas

This one is heavily based on the Taiwanese official Olympic Committee pin. I put this team in Taichung, a large city and one of two mentioned on the bubble tea wikipedia page as claiming to have invented the drink. (Their actual team is the Brothers/Elephants, whose logo I previously altered into a mouse and used, I do love it.)

I made two slightly different color schemes, one is based on the pin and one is based on the flag colors of the Milk Tea Alliance.

A real life version of this logo would probably have an angry snarl and little hands holding a bat. Not my thing.
