Online league: one owner cannot download file (trace logs attached)
I have an online league that just converted to OOTP 25 and I have one longtime GM who is unable to download the league file in-game, getting an "Error: could not download file" message. He's been in the league for a long time and never had this problem until the league converted. Nobody else in the league is having this problem. I've found a scattering of threads over the years with people having this problem, but no real solutions. The only one, excluding faces.dat from the league file, did not fix the problem.
What makes it more strange is that if he unpacks the full league file, then updates in-game, it works. But it only works the first time. Once we've simmed and a new file is posted, the error comes back. He can download the full file and update in-game again, but then the error comes back again the next sim. I'm afraid I'm going to lose a good owner if I can't fix this problem. I had him run trace logs and have attached them to this post. I also enabled trace logs on my own computer and downloaded the new file successfully. When comparing the two, I see the main differences are: His: Quote:

I had him redownload the full file and then update in-game to post a successful FTP trace log. Here's what it looks like when it works:

My initial guess is that there is an issue with reaching the location the files are located. They may need to double-check that they have white-listed the app if they are running a virus scanner, and make sure that their local paths and directories all have full permissions. They may also need to run the game as an admin, possibly, in case there is something in the temporary download that needs that to write to a specific place.
