Suggestions to cull depth bloat
Having played over a hundred online seasons, and being pronpted on slack, I think ootp would benefit from three things:
1. Not having players sign minor league extensions, ever. At least have it as an option that can be turned off for online leagues. 2. Making option deals have their own clocks for opt outs, rather than a single vague opt out 30 days into the season and then not again. Put the countdown in the contract field like a rule 5 player's. 3. Have players over the age of 30-32 retire when they havent been on a major league roster in over a year. Maybe the rare high loyalty or adaptability player hangs around, but most guys arent gonna keep riding buses. Thank you for your consideration!

Point 3 is a hard no to me. I run a senior indy league for overage players, I for one don't want anyone to retire at that young cause they don't play MLB level.
I want my players to keep plugging away till their body gives up. 30-32 is still young |
