Rule 5 broken?

I have a player I picked in the Rule 5 draft on 12/18/31. He played the entire 2032 season on the active roster, other than a two-week rehab stint in AAA after injury. Now it's opening day 2033 and he's still signified as required to be on the active roster. Is that wrong?

If he wasn't active for 90 days in 2032 he must complete that time in the 2033 season. That's in Rule 5.

Biggest issue I have with Rule 5 in historical games is that teams are signing free agents right before the rule 5 draft and I guess the AI isn't automatically putting them on the 40 or something? They end up on the Rule 5 draft.
