How to use Ohtani as 2 way player HELP!!!!

Hey guys i'll keep it short. So I have Ohtani on my team after i did a fantasy draft in ootp '25. Selected him in player strategy and then hit the "use a two way player button." On days he doesn't start, he's my DH. When he does start, the game doesn't let me drag him into the starting lineup as a DH. Has anyone experienced this and if so, do you know how to fix it? Thanks guys

See if two-way players is enabled in the League Settings too, left-hand side

Thanks for the quick reply...I do in fact have that box checked in league settings. It's the weirdest thing. Starting to think it's a glitch which is why im curious if anyone else has experienced this

The game has been out long enough and the Dodger / Ohtani are popular enough where I'm sure plenty of others have done what you're trying by now..... so my guess is you're just overlooking something. I'd be very surprised if this was a glitch only being discovered in late July.

I unfortunately can't offer much help since I have never played with Ohtani or any other two-way player, but my guess if you're just missing something and someone else will be able to solve this for you

Something like this that is a little confusing would be great to have laid out in a manual. That being said, hopefully one of these non-OOTP employees can lay it out for everyone else in their non-valuable free time

Open his individual player strategy to see if he's set to be used as a 2 way player.

It also may have intentionally disabled for the roster set due to his real life TJ surgery.

Using him in the year 2025 so he's fully healthy. I've actually been trying to solve this for a month but i decided to come and post here and see what happens.

Did you check his strategy tab?

I'm guessing you enabled the "Skip DH when pitching" check box in the player strategy page.

It works now! Thanks people for helping me with this. Tbh, not sure the change that I made, everything that needed to be checked was already checked but regardless I'll take it!
