Ballpark Display Help

Hello, I play out games on a PC in one pitch mode in Classic 3d View. The Ballpark displayed on the screen is almost always the same generic park instead of the home team park like Yankee Stadium, etc. The options indicate the name of the proper home team park, but it does not display while playing. I have tried toggling various options for the display, but it still only shows the generic park most of the time. What do I need to toggle so the proper home team park is displayed? Thank you!

You may need to assign the stadium yourself. Watch the videos for the part about assigning the 3D stadium. If you are in spring training all teams use the same park by default.

Thanks. I'll check this out. This is happening during regular season and post season games.

Yeah it's a mystery why the obvious default stadia are not pre-assigned. Perhaps the idea is users will want to customize or at least exercise the choice. It's easy to do, once you get the hang of it; but you have to do it thirty times!

That we have to discover a youtube video and then do the manual assignation 30 times is the real rub ... what a waste of energy to require of people who just bought the game and don't know any better. If you're playing a modern game, it should have the modern stadiums preassigned lol

Proper parks were assigned in my v25 game when I started a new MLB game.

FWIW I import my game into each new version, I know not what is being discussed but I'll get to it. On import all parks are correct. The only issue being if a park had a name change. In those cases I would get the "default" ballpark that I could fix.

On to starting a new MLB default season in v25...

I did start a current MLB game for two reasons and playing games wasn't one of them. I wanted to check out default uniforms and number/name files to see what was new before moving on with my imported game.

I also wanted to check out the new park factors in v25 so I could see them before importing and changing the park factors in my on going game. As I read this thread I thought "I'm pretty sure there was no issue in my game with park assignments". I just loaded up that league and confirmed all MLB teams are in the correct park and the correct model loads. Nothing had to be changed in my game.

This is with the Steam version on PC.

The only caveats are that no games have been played in my test league. But when I go to settings>edit ballpark for any team it takes me to the 2d page in the ballpark editor, with the proper graphic showing (ie Wrigley for Cubs, Fenway for Boston etc.). If I go to the 3d tab the proper stadium loads for each team. I can't see how this would show on the 3d tab but revert to the default stadium because I was playing in classic 3d? But then I haven't played any games.

Not sure why mine is different? Or maybe I'm not understanding what you are seeing in your games? In any case thought it worth posting that default park assignments are not as issue in my game, for whatever that is worth.

Video 1 starting at about the 26 minute mark worked great. Thank you! I am playing in 1988 at this point, and had to import stadium graphics for about 1/2 of the teams in different ballparks at that point. Without doing that it defaulted to a generic park graphic.

I think the difference in what you are describing is I am playing an older season. I am playing in 1988 at this point, and had to import stadium graphics for about 1/2 of the teams in different ballparks at that point. Without doing that it defaulted to a generic park graphic.

Now as I enter my second season after making these changes, most of the stadiums defaulted back to the generic stadium. Is there a way to save the imported stadium so it carries forward each season - or do I have to manually import them each season?! Thanks.
