Live Quicks?

Maybe time to add some? I'd love a level playing field quick tourney to fall back on while I'm focusing on umpteen different other things

They gave us a bone, but they made it /32. So they took that bone, and beat us on the head with it....over and over again....then said sorry and made it 6 regular packs for the winner....

To be fair, they also made it prizes for 4, so you can make it to the semis and get something. I've already gotten more packs from these than I get in a whole week of spamming against combi teams, so I'll take the darn bone.

Because the developers don't actually want to make it easy for FTP to win packs.

They also don't want to piss of the whales, who have spent major money to build their combo tourney teams. Should they make it /16, idiots like you and I would jump ship and only play those. The whales would have no one to beat up on then other then themselves.

As it is I only play the live quicks. Don't do badly in them, but I think I should be better. The variance is through the roof, and as we all know I hate that word because I think I should win every time

What's the big deal? Do you really want to play for 4 packs in a 16 player vs. 12 packs in a 32 player? It's incomprehensible to me. In the long run, you will win 50% more packs in the 32-player tournament, even though you can only play half as many.

Thing is, you've gotta run good & run lucky in order to make double digits per day. Having one without the other is simply not going to do it. With the absurd amount of variance in the live events, there are so many landmines that the wins are going to be very spread out. Feel like I lose way too many series to people who can't even spell baseball even if you spotted them all the letters and then told them where to put them.

I have already been winning more packs just playing the live quicks than I was when having to go up against combinators. Throw in they increased the dailies to top 32 winning packs and it gets a bit easier.

The combinators are going to be an issue the rest of this cycle, and honestly have ruined the game. I can not even fathom how much people have spent to build those decks when you look at the cost to upgrade just one card one time.

I won a bronze 16 this morning in the time it took for a live iron to fill. They do fill a lot quicker at this time of day, though.

Agree 100%. That is why Live quicks are /32. They don't fire off as much. If they did the whales would be up in arms. You are correct in stating that combinators ruined the game.

I like that they created live dailys to go along with the quicks. Took 2nd in the live bronze yesterday. Gives us a chance to get some good cards.

Big meh to the live quicks. I'm running them on one of my alt teams and have won some packs, but I can't spam them all day to make up for the long fill and play-through times. Last year, I had the Irons (without Combinators) down well enough that I was winning multiple quicks every day and even got into the last two PTCS tournaments based on daily tournament points.

I haven't even checked the standings once this year. I have six Combinators on my main team, but they're only Level 2 or 3 and aren't enough to overcome teams with rosters full of Level 5. Added to that, the fire times for dailies are seemingly measured in minutes. I'm not going to to set alarms so that I can wake up and enter PT tournaments. Even obsession has its limits!
