Draft Pick Assignments

Hi,

Looking for some advice on assigning draft picks for an MLB real life model league.

Last version of OOTP I played was before the 2021 Minor League reorganization, and generally assignments were easy: usually HS draftees to Rookie and college draftees to short-season A-. Both leagues ran from the draft to August or September so it worked well.

With A- being dissolved and the R and A seasons shifting earlier (and I believe the draft being later), there is limited time for prospects to play in their draft year. Is the normal practice still to assign HS players to R and college to A? It seems odd that they wouldn’t get much playing time until the start of the next season.
