Once again a day of games disappeared

I play one team manually in a fictional league. Occasionally when I restart the game the last day played for is gone. It just happened with V25 today I always exit the game the same way. This has happened with at least the last three releases of the game. Has anyone else experienced this?

Playing since v4 and have never had the auto save fail to work.

The only way I know of to exit the game without saving is via task manager.

Any chance antivirus is stopping the game from writing to the file? I know, "it doesn't happen all of the time", but it's all I've got.

I always save and back up my sims before exiting, just in case the autosave fails. Once I learned to this, I stopped having issues. So I don't know what could be happening. I also try to hit "Finish Day" before saving and exiting.

I always finish the day then go over to the league home page to look at the standings and any transactions that may have occurred. I always exit thru the File drop down menu. It was late though and it’s possible I went to check my email or do something else and later powered down without closing the game. At least it was just one game lost (which I had won). Of course when I replayed it I lost.
