Next Patch Suggestion: Steal Attempts
As it is now, you can pretty much tell at the start of a stealing animation if a guy will be safe or out - unless he's out by a mile, he'll be safe. Been that way forever and has sucked forever.
![]() How about this - just have three stealing animations like we have now (not talking about pick-off animations). One where the catcher doesn't even attempt a throw for whatever reason for guys with a great jump or dropped ball, etc. The second where he's out by a mile but save that one for botched hit-and-run plays or guys who have no business trying to steal (super slow, no stealing ability, etc.). The third animation is key - the one that always looks close. Use this animation 100% of the time when someone decent or better is stealing yet have the result based on what the game engine's outcome should be. In other words, don't use the out by a mile animation for virtually all caught stealing as is done now, regardless of who is running, catching and pitching. Really takes away from the immersion and there's no need for it when you already have a "close" animation available.

I agree - the out by a mile every time is silly.
