Quick Import and Recalc question

We're moving from ootp23 to ootp25. Since we went from 22 to 23, the league stats and all that have become pretty pitcher dominant, just did a normal import between those two games. The league finances are getting a bit skewed to the low end. If we wanted to just make sure we had current baseball stats and ensure the financial system worked the best possible way, once I import to ootp25 would just importing the financial and stats to the 2023 season pretty much just give us current baseball and the best possible settings financially for the game to run as kind of a clean slate for performance for the sim engine without changing and team specific stuff.(the change pretty much stay equal for all teams)

Also, it is the last day before offseason. If I am going to import the 2023 stats ratings, should I do that before going to new season or wait until the next day after. I'm a bit confused on if i change the stats totals and it runs recalc after that and the league totals are way different it would lead to some chaos. So basically do i import stats for "current baseball" for league on last league day before offseason or afterwards?

I don't have the detailed answers you need - I'm sure someone else will - but two things I'd highly recommend: 1) make backup copies of your league before attempting anything, and 2) once you get more info from other users about when & how to import/convert, utilize your backups to test it out. That should help you answer your question, "Should I do that before going to new season or wait until the next day after?"
