Baseball Oddity: When is the last time the WORST hitter on your team led in RBI?
I was a little dumbfounded when I simmed a season and Ernie Fazio was listed as the RBI leader for my 81-81 average team.
"wow he must have had a good year!" ummm... NOPE. haha, has something like this ever happened before? Last edited by uruguru; 04-30-2024 at 03:08 PM. |

Where was he hitting in your order in relation to your top players?
I know the significance of RBI as a stat has been debated, but at the same time you do need guys on base ahead of you in order to drive them in.... Was he hitting in the meat of your order or was he at the bottom of it? |

oh, yeah... the AI had slotted him at #5 so both Staub #4 and Morgan #3 were ahead of him. Morgan led the league in OBP. But still, his .209 AVG and .298 SLG were absolutely atrocious. |
