Question regarding draft class ages
Hey everyone,
I've been tinkering with the junior league setup in Franchise Hockey Manager 10, and I'm curious about how it impacts the draft age variation for players. Currently, I've noticed that most of the players entering the draft seem to be very young, around 18 years old. However, I'm wondering if there's a way to introduce more age diversity into the draft classes. Specifically, I'm interested in whether having junior leagues can influence the age range of players entering the draft. Is it possible to set up the junior leagues in a way that allows for a broader spectrum of ages at the draft, rather than primarily having players aged 18? Any insights or experiences you could share on this topic would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance! |

Assuming you're talking about custom leagues, no, it's not possible to change the junior and draft entry ages right now. Once a player is passed over in the draft, he becomes a free agent and isn't eligible for future drafts, so you won't get anything other than 18-year-olds in the draft after the first one.

Thank you for the clarification Jeff. Yes this is for a custom league.
If you set the age minimum to 19 for the Professional league in this custom setup, I am assuming that would change it. I also see in the NCAA / College leagues that guys are various ages so I wasn't sure if guys went into the draft at various ages (18 - 20) etc
