On the player search screen, the view menu at the bottom of the screen didn't do anything when you tapped on it, yet it was lit up. Now you can tap it to view the list of players differently

The ball movement is just crazy after this patch. Many grounders and fly balls have a curve on them that look like one of those crazy YouTube golf trick shots. I’ve seen two triples where the ball rolled about ten feet from home plate. A guy got thrown out at first after the ball went from the bat to out of sight down the 3B line, then beyond the RF/CF wall, then back behind home plate.

Prior patch was 100x as good for video play in 3D. Just wild.

I agree I can suspend reality a bit with some of weird things like a runner head first sliding after he scores standing up or an outfielder running with his back to home plate and slides towards the wall and catches the ball behind his back without looking like he is baseballs version of the Harlem Globetrotters but I had a few when playing last night that made me shake my head.

Two times a batter hit a pitch into foul territory between home plate and first base. First time the catcher was able to get a force at 2nd and the second he threw the runner out at first.

Ground ball to first, the first basemen fields the ball standing on the bag but waits for the pitcher to cover and overhand throws to him while they were standing on top of each other, went for an infield hit.

Runners on 2nd and 3rd, batter lines the ball at the dugout as the ball sits in foul territory both runners score and the batter gets a double while the defense just stands still.

I thought I won a game in extra innings, throw to the plate from the outfield is up the line my runner passes the catcher, crosses the plate before the ball arrives and is called out. I mean I guess if Angel Hernandez was the home plate ump, its possible.

I am ok and not critical with the little things like an OF holding the ball and then not hitting a cut off and allowing a runner an extra base or a pitcher fielding a come backer just off the mound and it becomes an infield hit as I feel the animation is just showing the result of the text but the above is mildly frustrating.

.
To be fair, I had this happen several times before the patch. The rest of what you had sounds right and that type stuff is since the latest patch. Problem with Go versus the desktop is you can’t go back. I’m 16 games into the 2024 season and four have been in this patch, but it’s tough to play.

The other thing this year (not this patch) is there seem to be more soft line drives to infielders than you would expect (5-6 a game), and a lot of runners thrown out at home unless you really scale base running aggressiveness back A LOT. That’s not graphics, just pointing out.

I am trying to be constructive and not critical here but I played four more games since my last post and I had the foul ball off the dugout 2 more times. Only these two times the ball came back into fair territory between 3rd and the pitchers mound and both times the LF ran into the infield, threw the ball back into the outfield to the CF, who threw to second. In the text the LF goes into the corner and hits the cut off man but the problem is the ball was still in the infield.

I know the result is already determined as you watch it play out but I think of someone who may have just found OOTP Go and what they would think and it could be a turnoff. The game itself so far, is doing a good job with the statistical accuracy in historical play but some may be turned off by these visual errors.

I'm currently using patch 25.2.53.11so how do I update? I go to Play store & just see PLAY or OPEN. also with this version not new one am having weird plays, like a line drive to 2nd base curves left to hit the fence just past 3rd baseman for double. A lefthanded batter lines a ball in 3rd base dugout for a double

How To Update?

I’ll show you a play that I took screenshots of today. Ball goes what looks to be the 3B dugout before rolling back to about 9 feet from the catcher. The SS initially goes about 25 feet backwards where he meets up with the Right Fielder for a brief chat, then gradually makes his way to pick it up the ball 9 feet from home plate. The P, C and 3B of course never moved. Our batter finally glides into 2B with his double.

I had another one happen. I watch a ball sail into the LF bleachers. The LF never moved and the text had the LF making the catch for an out.

Cool, but why wasn't I able to update last patch? Had they removed it? Oh, I get wacky plays all the time. Just finished a game where about 3 wacky events occurred, but the best one was I was trying to sacrifice bunt runner to 2nd base with lefty batter & he bunted towards 3rd base, balled rolled about 10 feet foul & about 25 feet short of 3rd. Runner beat throw to 1st after 3rd baseman got to ball and held it then threw ball after runner was on 1st. Lucky for me bc to plays like that is usually called runner out. I love when runner score and he slides about 10 feet pass home plate.

When does the patch come out that makes it where we can actually join tournaments using the tournament builder drop down without problems? Quick access to joining tournaments is a huge reason people use Go, and the fact that it doesn’t work despite having to pay $10 for the app is not a good look.

To be honest I'd pay upwards of $20 for this app & I'm a disabled man with limited resources. How much does it cost for one to find joy using such a game like this for 1 year at $9.99? That's less than $1 a month. Maybe most people don't get to play the game as much as I do, but for .83 cents a month with never having to spend another penny if you don't want too. C' mon

I agree with you because I play the base game often, I only assume some consumers just use it to monitor/play perfect team

Ok, so I think Matt was able to fixes these movement issues, so that'll be in the next patch. As far as I am aware though, it's not a new thing, and it doesn't actually affect the results of the game, so don't worry about updating to the new patch. However, if you do want to wait, I'm hoping to have another patch out tomorrow night or Wednesday morning.
That'll also include fixes for tournaments.

You probably don’t play Perfect Team. The base game works great in my experience, so I understand why you don’t get it, but that is not why I bought the game.

The Perfect Team portion has major flaws that limit the very reason people paid $10 for the game and that feature is mostly broken.

I would pay $20 for a useable version of the game with no qualms at all. When we found out it was a paid game this year, a lot of people were up in arms about it. I was not one of those people. I have used Go A TON the last few years and had NO issue paying $10 for it and would have gladly paid more, but that was with the understanding that it would work.
