Opening day rosters

I know we have CBL's opening day rosters (Thanks for the all the work), but I can't recall if the ootp dev's usually release an opening day rosters patch, or will the next patch have "current rosters"?

all patches have a new roster set, you can consider the opening day roster as the one that came in the second patch. But keep in mind that once you start a standard modern game the second the game is created the CPU has already made decisions on all the teams including yours.

What the new roster set does in each patch is to update and try to change the ratings so that the CPU "tries" to make the rational or real decision on the roster.
