Any common flaws in the 25 edition?
Before I purchase the 25 edition I'm wondering if there's any common flaws from those that have already purchased the game, ex, screen freezing. I purchased the 24 edition and that was a major problem. Thanks, in advance

I am biased of course, but this has been the most flawless release ever. I am super proud of the team!

I am not biased and can concur with Markus' opinion. This is the first release in years where I have not submitted a bug report this far in. I am not saying there are zero bugs, because they are clearly actively fixing stuff, but I have had nothing pop out to me.

It appears that the biggest flaws I saw, player development and pitch ratings, were fixed in this latest patch. I haven't tested though.

The pitch ratings have been fixed. You may already know, but for those that don't, this was a visual bug. Ie under the hood the pitches themselves were fine. The display made them look underwhelming to say the least.

I would encourage you to look through the forum, see some different opinions or experiences, and solicit feedback and updates from those who have reported some issues. You might very well agree with all of the foregoing comments above. Even a cursory look at the board, however, shows that this thread is not giving you an accurate representation of the diversity of experiences disclosed here.

I was having a CTD and they tried to help but no go. I finally uninstalled the whole game from my system and reinstalled. Has been working great since.
I play historical (Random) and this is by far the best results I have seen. Defense, hitting, and pitching. |

There are so many nice additions and improvements in OOTP 25 that it might take a while before people notice and fully appreciate the changes.

What impresses me, as a long-time beta tester, is how the developers still set ambitious goals, year after year. The under-the-hood changes required a ton of hard work. But the results, I believe, have elevated this game even further above all competitors. OOTP remains a tour de force.
