Can someone explain why the pitches are rated so low?

There are player cards ranked high yet some of the ratings are very low but they are doing very well in simulated games. Why is that? Is there some special formula that I'm missing?

There's a bug where pitches are being shown graphically as lower than they actually are. I assume this would impact PT as well. It's being corrected in the next patch per Lukas.

Thanks for the info, it is very misleading the way it is right now. OOTP are by far the best at fixing their complicated game. Bravo!
