Injury Settings and their impact
Was curious to know the difference between "Normal (OOTP Classic)" and "High (Realistic Modern Day)" Injury Settings. So I compiled some data. Perhaps you will find this interesting/useful as well.
Testing: Begins in 2065 to avoid all real-life players/personnel. 30 team MLB, Moderate Fatigue, Locked to 2024 MLB Settings. Sim 4 full seasons. Record total number of Injuries for league in the Injury Log at four points of a calendar year: January 1, Opening Day, All-Star Game, End of Regular Season ![]() ![]() |

Thanks.
Would be interesting to know how real life compares to those numbers if someone has the time to do that. |

Wow, I would have thought it would be higher. Might use the realistic setting.

I use realistic in 2024 and don't find it to be too bad. I like the added injury element.
