AI Lineup traditional vs sabermetric?
I usually select traditional for this, but lately I have been thinking that with the modern use of analysis and Sabermetrics perhaps for the modern seasons I should choose Sabermetrics.
What do you think. 2000+ choose Sabermetrics and before that choose Traditional? |

I think there is certainly a case to be made for this. Bench players are not “bench players” anymore per se. A roster is very often comprised of “Swiss army knife” type players who can be plugged into multiple situations depending upon matchups. So very often you will see players starting who fit the best profile for any given situation or matchup rather than traditional everyday starters. That’s not to say that there are also a lot of everyday starter types either, but I believe using a sabermetric lineup logic reflects this and is probably the better choice of the two. In fact I would even petition the development team to make sabermetric lineups the default for modern day MLB setups.

Thanks! I thought I had seen this in earlier OOTP versions, but couldn't remember where. Would this setting override the individual AI manager settings? Or do those individual settings refer to in-game decisions and not lineup selection?
