Manager Decision Tree Bug (With Pics)
Hello! Updated report:
Found a bug on the "Manager Decision Tree" page.
It seems that if you sign back a player that was on your team after he hits free agency, the previous year's WAR gets counted again immediately as a new line item on the Manager Decision Tree.
i.e.
2025, 2026, 2027 seasons Max Fried has like 6.1 WAR, 3.5 WAR, and 5.9 WAR. So the initial free agency signing says the total WAR is 15.6 which is correct (rounded). However, after the 2027 season, he became a free agent and I re-signed him to a new contract (not an extension, a new contract because he hit the open market.
Immediately on the Manager Decision Tree, a new line item appears for "signing Max Fried in free agency" with an attributed WAR of 5.9, which was the WAR he had in the previous 2027 season right before hitting free agency and signing a new contract. So there is a double counting occurring here.
In the pic with stat lines, WAR is all the way to the right.
