Player appears on another team for 1 game for no reason.

I am using a fictional league made up of random debut real rookies. As you can see from the screen shots, Bob Horner somehow appears in 1 game without an AB for another team other than Miam (Cincinnati). From his history, there is no indication he was traded, released, or anything else.

I also experienced this with a league today. Thought I was losing my mind at first when I didn't see anything in the history.

go into his seasonal game log and see if you can find the game. Maybe that will help it make sense.

Maybe somehow his all-star appearance is showing up there. That would be a weird bug, but it would be 1 game.

This would probably be helpful, at least we'd know what circumstances this might be coming from to look into it further (some weird double header or rainout related thing maybe?).

I was able to pinpoint the game. It was during a double-hitter between Miami (Bob Horner's team) and Cincinnati. Not only did this happen to Horner, but another player named Lanthier. So whatever went wrong happened from that game.

I don't see Bob Horner or Mike Lanthier on Cincinatti's lineup. I see them on Miami's...
I see on Cincy, Both have no PA, so either it was as this looks like, played and instantly replaced in top of 1st (which happens all the time to me on The Show, but never on another _TEAM_) or as a late inning defensive replacement, like that 13 inning game 2 of your double-header.

Both are on Miami, which is your team, but not on Cincinatti. Are you sure this is the right box score?

This is a WILD box score. Lanthier is pulled immediately in top of first for Amundson; Horner is pulled instantly for Griffin, who is pulled instantly for Estalella AND Herman is pulled instantly for Etchebarren who is pulled instantly for Calixte!!

So you have lost 5 bench players in the 1st inning. Is the AI controlling your team's replacements? If they are, it's making really bad decisions for you with 5 first inning replacements at 3 positions. That might be something to look into to further shore up your team's performance, gm.

This was a simmed game. I did not play this game out. I actually simmed the entire season.

ok, both are given, and ty for new information, however, original post still stands.
Given, simming wildly adjusts things. But that at least doesn't change the fact that your images above don't show your 2 players on an opposing team.

Was the original delayed game a home game in Miami, and it was continued on the road in Cincinnati?


Maybe that's part of the confusion for OOTP.

I am also having this problem and uploaded my league files here. I saw several players with this problem. One of them is Jürgen Appenzeller, another is Luigi Vacarro. Doesn't seem to take the off the original team or anything. I did notice one of the appearances seemed to be during the continuation of a suspended game I think.

OOTP needs to get rid of suspended games. They don't work according to the real-life rules, and are more trouble than they are worth.

OOTP would be better served by improving the handling of postponed games and how they are rescheduled.
