Player Retires, becomes Coach-How are the New Ratings Determined?

When a player retires, I make some of them coaches. The AI engine converts them to coach with a set of personnel ratings. Is there a formula or pattern for this conversion?

I retired a position player, and they rated very high, like Excellent and Outstanding at almost all personnel ratings, including teaching pitching!

Seems to me there would be some predictable players who would be good coaches, such as catchers with high intelligence and work ethic. Retired pitchers should be good pitching coaches but not regular players. Regular players could be good hitting coaches with the right level of intelligence and work ethic.
Any patterns, knowledge or history anyone can provide me?
