Aging algorithm
Using default setting in a fictional league, it seems like players retire earlier in version 25. If you play many seasons and look at the players, there are almost no 40+ year old players in version 25. I fired up version 24 and did the same thing. There seems to be many more 40+ players in version 24.
Now, I don't know which is more accurate. I didn't really look into real life. I was just curious if that was on purpose? |

We definitely adjusted this somewhat this year, not specifically to get rid of 40-years but to try to get the league a little younger overall, more in line with real life trends. We still probably have some more work to do on this over the next few patches though.

Thanks. What made more notice was this. I played like 100 seasons and the career leaders in categories like hits, homeruns, and wins seemed low. I looked closer and most of them retired at 38 years old.
I look forward to adjustments in the next few patches. |

You guys will become true baseball coding gods when players who are on the verge of significant career achievements ignore the algorithmic urge to retire and instead cling on long enough to reach those career achievements. 3000 hits. 500 homers. 300 wins. Or perhaps becoming all-time leaders in hits, homers or strikeouts. Obviously, not easy because those are MLB-specific targets. |

i like seeing records fall i like seeing players go 20 years. I make them develop faster and age slower. To me its fun to see. something that's dying off in the real world as players in general wont go that long
