Is there an option to start just after the World Series

I like to try different off season acquisitions.

This is a popular request also for players wanting to start with an expansion team. Still not possible, sadly.

I'm pretty sure it is a rule of the MLB license. Someone would have to make a roster mod to freeze rosters end of WS in the previous version then import it into current version to start at the end of the off season and give the human control of a fantasy offseason.

I dont think it would ever happen because it is probably be a lot of mod work. And the mod would only last for 1 version every new version of the game all the work would need to be done again.

I doubt if has anything to do with licensing. Years ago, MLB Front Office Manager allowed a start right after the World Series.

The problem is most likely that being to start after the WS, then OOTP dev would basically be giving us two seasons worth of play per version of the game. This is most likely their choice. The best work around is getting the game to start on early Jan.

I couldn’t even get that game to work. It wasn’t compatible with basic graphics cards.

Wait, someone could live start the day of the final world series game and then that save file would have everything at the MLB level right?

Just like while you can do a live start after the World series, it takes considerable work to get the offseason to run correctly. This seems like a design of the game to make sure the users less anxious to get the new rosters in the new game. The last couple years, this game has become more akin to Madden where the roster is one of the biggest things to market.

There has always been a lot of Wonkiness with doing that since Live Start I'd technically supported to the end of the regular season. It does work but you will see the whole offseason calendar thrown off. Everything gets pushed back like almost a month .

If you have 24 you could start a 'live' game and then import into 25. (Live being where you choose the day to start on with real results etc. i think by default it gives you end of November now).
