Pre-game screen in OOTP 24 vs 25

Why is the pre-game screen different in OOTP 24 vs. 25? I can't see stat lines on the initial screen anymore (I need to click to my lineup as if I'm making substitutions. Also note that the "Options" have moved to the right instead of top-middle.

See attached screenshots. Is there any way to fix this?

EDIT: Top screenshot is 24; bottom is 25.

Just got v25 yesterday and am starting off season. I wouldn't have run across this for a long time. Yeah, that is something I check going into every game and something I would miss having.

I've always longed for a "vs. current pitcher" view in the substitution/lineup screen. Opponent makes a pitching change and voila as easy way to see how each of your batters has done against the new P. If they added that as a trade off I'd be a happy camper.

Mine shows the stat lines like your display of 24 on the left. Problem is, I can't figure out how I got it that way. Someone will be able to tell you how to get the stat line. Ugh, I know it's right under my nose.

Are you saying you changed a setting somewhere? Because the 25 screenshot is the default look.

I really hope it doesn’t come out that it’s a resolution issue, because my resolution is the same for 24 and 25.

This is what I see in the pre-game screen. I have not changed any settings from the default.

I'm seeing the same thing as Mathbandit. I don't remember changing anything, but I may have lucked into and simply don't remember what I did.

Their is less screen room in 25 vs 24. Those options on the right take up space. To get the stats you will need to change your resolution. Of course that will make your text smaller and harder to read.

Ugh. That makes sense now that I think about it. I’ll try that and report back.

Resolution was it, but I am at max resolution on my laptop (15” screen), so I had to go to an external monitor. HOWEVER, I can’t get all the data that I want. I’m missing, most notably, batter vs. pitcher history.

Perhaps a dev can chime in. I’m not sure why the change was made to have the settings on the side. It was the same for at least fourteen years.

As the saying goes, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.

I have no idea either. Settings are something I usually adjust right before I play my first game, and then I don't touch again forever. Batting stats vs pitcher, which I find useful, are missing because of the change.

Exactly. Set it and forget it.

Shame about the change, not sure who needs to view the settings every single game. Now the important info (lineups/stats/matchups) are all scrunched up. Could we have an option to put settings back to where it was? There's no reason to have it displayed for every game, should be in a tab up top.

Agreed, the settings should just be in their own tab, they don't need to be shown every game.

What screen resolution are the stats not showing up?

I'm not sure but it shows at 1920x1080.They are squished though, with settings on the right. I'm not sure about other players but i rarely change those settings, especially not every game.

Same. 1920x1080. There is absolutely no reason to change settings every game since nothing ever resets to default.

I personally like it on 1366x768. It's new, refreshing and IMO, a little overdue.

Resolution of 3440 x 1440 on ultra wide monitor and not wide enough for stats?

This is a terrible design decision. Never a good idea to take away/hide information that has always been there.

I hope they revisit this decision.

It seems like there is still room to put some key stats in there. Now it just looks like a big empty space.
