Invalid Credentials

OK, so I get that there will be some wonkiness today.

But when I go to login to Perfect Team, it tells me "Invalid Credentials".

OK cool, probably just a server problem.

But when I try to login on the website it also tells me that either my username doesn't exist or I have already used my one password reset for the day.

So my question is, will I have to make a new account? Or will it start working? Or will I have to reset my password but I'm just hosed for the day because it thinks I already tried to reset it?

This was an account made during the beta if that helps.

I'm having the same issue. I didn't play the beta; just joined Steam today. I did play PT two or three years ago, but not since. Do I need to create a new account?

I had this earlier but when PT 25 launched properly my credentials worked fine to log-in to the game (and then the website for Twitch link)

I logged in to 24 in the meantime to check my account was fine, and it was. So just a 25 server issue I think.

This sucks.

I wish someone could tell me what to do here because being in limbo with no communication is pretty much torture.

I would just create a new account if I knew it wouldn't mess anything up. But with the only responses being from users who say it will fix itself, I'm just waiting around for what seems like nothing.

How old is the account - only first created for the OOTP25 beta?

If it was only first set up for the OOTP25, it is wiped. See the info listed under March 12 on the first post of this thread:

If that applies to you, create it again - this time for real and for keeps

Oh my gawd it worked.

I knew they were wiping all progress but I didn't see anything about wiping entire accounts.

I was going to have to wait until tomorrow to realize that's what happened without you!

So if I'm reading right this Because I have played PT since the first season it launched and I signed up during 25 Beta I have to sign up again cause I dont have an account?

Your account should be fine. It's the people that signed in for the first time in OOTP25 beta that had temp accounts. Try your OOTP24 PT ID and password. Should be fine.

so Sorry I meant Haven't played since PT first launched and I signed in with my challenge password for the beta but thats not working so I'm assuming I have to remake an account

There was an account migration process for either PT 23 or 24, where you had to make a new account but with your old details, if you haven't played recently that could be an issue maybe.

If you created an account in the beta period, you will have to create an account again to play now that it has been released.

Hmm, maybe that explains my situation? I think I last played PT22, but I'm not sure. My signature seems to suggest as much. But the banners in my sig suggest OOTP still recognizes my PT accounts.

Oh well. I guess I will give up and make a new PT account.

I did not just create an account for the beta. I have been playing OOTP since 21, I have used the same credentials, including last years switch for all these years.. My two alt teams no problem. My main team is having an issue. Do we have a fix for this....very frustrating

I took a couple years off of OOTP and just bought OOTP 25. My credentials to login don't work.

I've heard of some migration while I was gone...what do I do now?

Do I have to start over? New registration and lose my username?

If you didn't play 23 or 24, you'll can re-register with the same username and email you used for previous versions.

Thanks for the response. Gave it a go and I'm in with a new user name. I'm assuming all the old stats/records are no longer available from previous years. (hence the migration).

In PT23 we migrated to a new system. The old logins from PT22 and before were reserved so you could create an account with your email and name without a problem and have that tied to the old data (for loyalty rewards mainly).

And with PT24 we now copy all accounts over to the next version that are present on release day (which are not marked for deletion or banned).

So if you did not migrate in PT23 than the connection can not be made anymore. But the old account name might be available for registration again.
