Does the Database Converter still work?
When I get a new OOTP game, the first order of business is to adjust the historical_database and historical_minor_database, mostly to re-name the eighty bazillion guys named "Ballplayer" and make sure people like Victory Faust, Eddie Gaedel and Herb Washington actually show up in the game.
For this, I've been using the OOTP22 Database Converter, which I found worked fine the last three years. The OOTP24 files are fine: But when I try the same for OOTP25, I get an error message: "Index was outside the bounds of the array", and these are the converted files: "unknown25" looks like pitchers' stats (1918-2023) and "unknown26" is fielding stats (1871-2023). The other difference is that all the "MiLB" files are missing in the OOTP25 convert. Has the form of the database changed from last year? Is there a work-around? Help!

You'd have to ask Dr. Doom if it works. Have you checked if those three are in the game since the last time you edited the csv files? They look like they all have debut and exit years properly assigned in the database for OOTP25.

Not to highjack - but is there a quick way to use the database converter to mass edit first name "Ballplayer" issue or is simply copy/paste?

It's the IDs that things need to be paired with each other across various csv's so just don't accidently backspace on one of those.

I always rename the Ballplayers "Bob" and give them the nickname "Ballplayer" (e.g. Bob "Ballplayer" Smith).
I EMailed Dr Doom about the DB converter for 25 but haven't heard back...
