Not receiving compensatory picks for failing to sign players drafted in rounds 1-3 OOTP 25

Failed to sign first round picks two years in a row and haven't received a compensatory pick, also no cpu team has received a compensatory pick which is unusual for me to see as there were always at least a couple teams receiving them in 24.

Ha! Just posted the same thing. I purposely draft guys I don't want to sign if it's a weak class so that I have the additional pic in a stronger class.

yeah I'm hoping it's just a bug and not a decision they've made to take that away, if so my pirates rebuild is gonna feel a lot worse not being able to cheese a little until I can find an elite lefty bat.

I don't recall this changing in MLB this year, so we wouldn't have intentionally changed it. Probably just a bug, but we'll check into it more.

Were they offered a contract? I believe players need to receive a valid offer in order for you to get a compensation pick.
We will clean up some of the text on the draft negotiation page to reflect that

Yes, I always offer slot value.

Guessing this is a bug and really hope it gets fixed.

Offered my first round pick Slot. He rejected the offer on deadline day.

The compensation picks email said "No Compensation - did not offer eligible contract) even though I did offer the contract and he rejected it.

The most recent example of this was Kumar Rocker not signing with the Mets (10th overall) in 2021 and the Mets receiving the 11th overall pick in 2022.

However, MLB made a rule change in with the new CBA that stated that players who attended the pre-draft combine were guaranteed at least 75% of slot. Not sure how this could possibly be handled in the game, with no "combine" AND that rule only applies to HS players.

But in the game, offering a contract and having it rejected should ensure a comp pick for the first 3 rounds.

First off, thank you to Markus and the entire team. This game is always excellent, year after year.

Unfortunately I'm having the same draft compensation issue with the full release. Simmed ahead and drafted an expensive player in each of the first three rounds and offered them full slot. All 3 broke off negotiations. Did not receive a comp pick for any of them, because it said I didn't offer an eligible contract.

Maybe I'm doing something wrong? But I offered full slot to each of them, and the language says I have to offer at least 40% slot to get a comp pick.
