How To Import Your Save From OOTP 24 On Mac

Hi all,

Mac uses a system where they compartmentalize files so that you won't be able to find your OOTP24 save in OOTP 25 to import it initially.

No worries though, it's pretty easy to work around this.

Here's how:

In OOTP 24, click on "Settings," then the "Troubleshooting" tag. Then click on "Open folder containing saved games."
In OOTP 25, do the same.
Copy the game you'd like to import from the OOTP 24 saved games folder to the OOTP 25 saved games folder.
Now, when you try and import the game in OOTP 25, you should be able to see it in the OOTP 25 saved games folder. (You still have to import it for it to work in OOTP 25.)

Then you should be good!

How do we get the new internartional players on there? Missing Yamamoto, Matsui, Lee, etc.

They are all there.

Unless you're talking about Perfect Team, in which case they won't come until an update after we have licensing approvals.

No. I am alking about a 24 league that we imported into 25. Is there a way to export the missing players and import them into 25?

I’m on a Mac and I didn’t have to do any of this.I just imported a ootp 24 save right from ootp 25. I guess I got lucky.

I copied my dynasty files from the OOTP24 saved game folder into the OOTP25 saved game folder, but when I went to import game nothing is coming up. How do I find the world.dat file?

UPDATE: I found it - I had to go into Drives and navigate to Application Support, and from there I eventually found it.

That's because Steam actually puts all the OOTP versions in the same container. which I just found out and it will probably force me to move away from standalone versions

So I have imported a 24 file into 25. It seems to have brought the old projections with them. I have been updating this file with trades and FA signings and now I fear I have to start over.

How can you import a 24 into 25 and not overwrite the updated projections? And is there a way for me to just keep going, download my roster file and import it in to a 25 file that has the right projections?

I thought I could create a new game save the scounting and import it into my 25 league file but that isnt do anything. All the scouting is the same.

This has already taken me a long time.

Draft pool problem was not solved. Still incomplete class until after the season. It was said in a couple of places on boards that this would be solved with the patch. Can we expect it on the patch tomorrow?

Ratings will change whenever you import into OOTP25 and that will change the stats projected in the editor. The engine has changed greatly and this is just a necessary part of the import process.

The thing is, the old editor projections did not give you data on what the players would actually perform like in your specific league, just in a theoretical, generic league that didn't take into account league settings or talent levels in your league.

The new editor gives you the expected performance in your actual league. So this is a huge improvement for someone like you who wants to adjust the ratings/projected performance of players as now it allows you to set these much more accurately.

But I am going to have upset GMs when they open a fresh file of 25 and see way different, mostly better ratings, than what’s in our league.

So the ratings change based on our leagues? Is that what I am reading?
