Clicking on Max Clark Minors Roster crash to desktop

Started a GM only Tigers game (new instance each time, deleted old game for second time)
Looking at Rosters, Minors, show chart (with all teams on one page)
Scroll down at A(?) level where Max Clark is
Left click on his name
Crash to desktop within a couple seconds
I have replicated twice (will test with other players)

OK, may have stumbled upon issue here:

I reloaded the second game with Tigers and checked the Facegen settings under GAME.
It was default NONE on "Player Facegen pictures"

I changed this to All Players and added all Players/Coaches/Scouts

Now I seem to be able to click on players without a crash.
