Pitching rotation changes

When I play a historical game with my own lineup I set up the pitching rotation (5 man). When I start a new game the computer has changed my rotation even though I chose "strict order" option for rotation order,
What am I missing?

There is a strategy setting for the league rotation mode, which you may have set to default instead of strict rotation.

There is also the team rotation mode.

You also may have the computer in control of your pitching staff.
