Historical league settings

I could use some help. I would like to go back to the very beginning and sim to now. Is there any way to have Historical players automatically be placed on the accurate team as they are introduced into the league?

If you start with the year 1901, then yes, enabling historical transactions will do this for you. Prior to that, historical transactions are not generally available in OOTP because the pre-1901 major league structure in OOTP is not quite accurate. This is generally because there was so much real-life change to the structure of the teams & leagues prior to 1901. So OOTP gives us a more stable version of it. You have access to the real players, but with the teams being very similar but not 100% accurate, historical transactions are not included.

But again, as long as you are starting with 1901 or later, you'll be good to go

You don't have to use Real Transactions for this to occur. That option will also recreate all of the transactions throughout their career.

If you are only looking for them to start on their original team and then let the chips fall from there then you can choose to Disable the Amateur Draft which will place them on their initial teams when they are first pulled in from the database.

Rain King is absolutely correct. You don't need Historical Txns enabled in order to have players import to their original team. That - like Historical Transactions in general - will work fine as long as you start with 1901 or after.
