New Player Issues

I'm kind of getting tired of this. I got a new pitcher. Have activated the pitcher in manage cards 4 times now. Put the player in the rotation. The player is there. Then when I log out of ootp and come back in the card is not activated and the player is not in the rotation. I manage software for EV vehicles and if our software did this it would be a huge issue. Seems like a basic function of OOTP. Can someone help me understand how to fix this. This isn't the first time it has happened. Also, alot of the time I'll change settings for strategy and go out of the game after saving and come back in and it's all back to what it was before. Very frustrating.

The PT thread might be more helpful, but after putting in the pitcher, did you submit the revised team roster in the upper right? Just my first thought.
