Team quality in Bronze League

New to the game and just starting on my second week. I won the WS in Rookie in my first week, so was excited for the challenge of Bronze.

My question - Is it normal to be up against teams with heaps of 100 rated players this low in the leagues? The Bronze League I’m in has a few teams with starting rotations of all 98-100 rated pitchers, and a lineup loaded with 100s.

Seems like these teams should be a lot higher and I’m going to be stuck at Bronze for months building a team that can compete.

Depends on which hundreds they are...for a period of time it was easy to complete alot of missions where the rewards were perfect players(build a bears) before you even got out of the entry pool couple that with the PT elites for having a lot of the live guys, and you could field a team of 100's. If you are seeing teams with a bunch of immortals in bronze, then something funny is going on.

You can check the team's history. If it just started a few weeks ago and has promoted each week then the team is following a simple and legal strategy. If you want the spoiler on how to do it: search for the thread "New Team Primer". It's a little out of date, but the basics are sound.

How did you manage to go from Rookie to Bronze?

That often happens in the first couple of weeks of the season, but at this stage of the game I didn't know they would do that.

Also, you should check the lifetime records of those teams - if they're in their 20th season (or more) then something fishy is going on. If they'e in their 5th season, they just know how to play the early stages of the game.
