Player teams dominating Team Takeaway chart

If you look on the team stats page, the player teams always have significantly more takeaways than the CPU teams, this has been a bug since last year, regardless of team.

If I'm not mistaken, this has to do with player's games being simmed in 2d and the rest of the league in classic. So your games are simmed in one engine and their games are in another.

You can change that in settings though.

Mine is like that too and I sim in classic, not 2D.

I think mine team is usually the run away leader in several other stats too (both good and bad)

Yeah, by default the engine will select to sim your games in 2D and the rest of the league in the classic engine. This results in the discrepancies of various stats. Prior to the start of a season, access the setup screen and change the sim engine to the screenshot below:

I have just completed the regular season and am midway through the playoffs with Calgary and here are the NHL teams sorted first by Takeaways, then by Giveaways. You can see we are second in one category but way down in the other and all totals look in a range relative to each other.

You can also of course switch it to have all games simmed in the classic engine - I have not done nearly as much testing of that engine as I have with the 2D, so I cannot speak to how it will normalize this issue.

Ok thanks for the detailed post, I'm not actually playing any games in the 2d engine though.. I'm just simming the results, game by game..

That setting on the top is for games you are simming, the one underneath is for games that are played. I only sim games too!
