Brand new Money League

We’re currently in the beginning steps of setting up a money league. We have 7 players signed up and would like to get to at least 8 for the inaugural season. The 7 of us come from another league we play in together and are looking to expand our friendly competitiveness by adding some stakes to it. That said, money isn’t the most important aspect of our league. Having fun is. We are taking our time finding the right GMs to fit and ensure that everyone involved has a good time.

It is a fictional league that's been simmed since 2001 to the in-game present date of Feb 11, 2023. All players were released and we'll hold an inaugural draft that all GMs will select their 25 man rosters and minor league prospects. All team names, GM names, stadium names, cities, etc. can be changed.

It's a $50 buy-in and the prize pool split is 75% to the World Series winner and 25% to the runner-up. The goal is to have 3 seasons per one calendar year. That equates to two sims a week (Monday’s and Thursday’s) for a 125 game schedule.

We will use LeagueSafe as a 3rd party money handler. For those that come in at later stages of the league, we will offer discounts depending on the state of a franchise. Additionally, in order to ensure there are no shenanigans behind the scenes, all sims will be live streamed either on YouTube or via StatsLab+ on our discord.

In order to keep competitive balance, finances, owners, scouts, coaches do not apply. A hard salary cap of $100,000,000 is set. Markets, ticket sales, media contracts, etc. will not matter. Each off-season the commissioner will set all team budgets even across the board.

Overall Ratings: Stars

Scouts and Coaches: Off

Injuries: Low

Active Roster Size: 25

Secondary Roster Size: 25

Expanded Roster Size: 28

Draft Pick Trading: Allowed

good luck, but every ootp money league fails because cheating suspicions will only be amplified. Live streaming is not the answer because a lot can be done outside of live sims. I wouldn't touch a money league with a ten foot pole.

There are always risk in keeping it going but we have a good core that have a bunch of experience. Come and check it out no obligation as we are still in the advanced setting up stage. Have an input and have some fun whether it’s one season or 20 seasons.
