Players traded, then disappear

I am the commish for a 24-team Internet real-time sim league using OOTP 5.1.

In the past few days, two players - Wes Helms and Mike DeJean - have disappeared from our database and league, shortly after being traded in two separate deals.

The trades show up on the transaction page, but the players never turned up on the rosters of the teams they were traded to, and aren't in the free agent pool, either. They simply vanished. The players they were traded for are still around, though.

I know others have reported similar problems regarding historical leagues, veteran players and prospects, but I haven't read anything about players disappearing after they are traded.

Any ideas as to what happened to these players, and whether they can be recovered?

This sounds similar to a problem that somebody had when they were running multiple copies of OOTP at the same time. With the league open in both copies, they made a trade and did some simming, closed the league, then closed the other open copy of the league. This caused some problems with the data for the league as some things were saved over one another. Not sure this happened in this case, but it sounds like the same thing that happened to him, so I thought I'd mention it.

I don't think that's the explanation, though. I processed the trades and only had the one OOTP5 program running at the time.
