Training when you aren't handling it

I'm playing in GM mode and none of the boxes on the training tab are checked, unless I check them. If I check them, they clear at the beginning of every month.

Does this mean my head coach is handling it and making decisions I can't see, or does it mean it's not getting handled? It is preseason, but it's late preseason and I would assume the players are doing something.

The head coach should be handling it despite you not seeing it. That being said, at least in my experience, training is esoteric magic with very unclear and mostly even non-existent results even when handled directly.

So, who knows? Is the coach handling it? Yes. Does it actually work? I don't know, does numerology and tarot work?

Thanks. I agree that it's hard to see the value in it, and that's one of the reasons I like to not handle it.
