I may be missing something, but since the Fielder's Choice didn't result in an out, no out should be recorded.

A fielder's choice relates to the batter rather than a fielder. It means there was an option as to where to try to get an out, so the batter doesn't credit for a hit when he reaches because the fielder tried for out somewhere other than first base. It doesn't necessarily mean an out was actually recorded. Failure to record an out doesn't necessary mean there was an error either (as in this case where there was presumably a close play at the plate). 1/3rd of an inning looks correct to me in that situation.

Looks like the out occurred on the 4-3 groundout by Arthur Irwin.
