NHA to NHL Transition

First thanks for addling the NHA, I am really enjoying playing around with these early teams and players. (And early PCHA)

However there are issues with the NHA and the NHA to NHL transition.

I play mostly historical mode and enjoy changing up all the manager options under Historical League Editing.

The only time I have had no glitch is when I haven't touched any of the settings under Historical League Editing (HLE)

First an assumption: It is not possible to keep the NHA going into the modern era and never start the NHL.

After discovering this I tried a handful of variations. What I noticed is this:

If I changed any HLE setting the NHL was not playable. The NHA would transition to the NHL. Normally I would have to create or import the NHL teams, they would not automatically appear. Then after I added them, no matter what the NHL would not play any games, even with a schedule set and teams exiting. The one game I simmed to year two of the NHL crashed.

Note I believe I had always unchecked "Leagues begin playing" to avoid the PCHA starting to keep all the players in the NHA / NHL. Assuming that this unchecking was the issue with the NHL not being playable I did the following:

I started an NHA game and did not change any of the HLE settings. NHL started fine.

My next attempt (saved game uploaded) I unchecked "Leagues begin playing" to avoid the PCHA starting. After their start date I rechecked this box to see if the NHL would start correctly.

The NHL did start correctly, but there was one issue.

In the year that I rechecked the "Leagues begin playing box" it was the NHA that did not play any games. The season after the NHA did reason playing and there was no other notable issues.

So will it be possible to play with the HLE settings in the NHA error without messing up the NHL or a season of the NHA?

In Future will I be able to play as one league all the way from 1909 to present so that all history is in one league?

Yeah, I think we'll need to lock down some of the editing settings pre-1917. The NHA-NHL transition required a bunch of hardcoding, and it looks like we didn't anticipate some of the ways it might be broken. Playing as one league from 1909-present definitely won't be workable, though.

Also NHA 1910+ transaction log doesn't work for previous seasons.

Yeah, something's definitely going wrong with those logs, we'll get that fixed.
