228th Uniform Colors

According to the New York Times the 228th wore Khaki-colored uniforms

"Taking the ice, the hockey-soldiers of the 228th Overseas Battalion of the Canadian Expeditionary Force wore khaki-colored uniforms, just like their brothers-already-at-arms along the bloodied Somme River in France. Known as the Northern Fusiliers or just plain Soldiers, this was, briefly, one of hockey’s best teams."

We are aware, "khaki" isn't actually definitive in terms of color. There's a belief that it was brown, but no pictures really show what color it is. Seeing that we do know that they had a dark green in their emblem for the unit, we're choosing to go with khaki green as the jerseys at this point.
