Just bought OOTP 24 and I have one small problem

I have set up everything the way I want it and was running a regular season game to see if everything meshed the way I wanted it. My one problem is...the Balls and Strikes are already registering right when the PBP announcer is saying "Here / In comes the pitch." I already know the result of the pitch before it leaves the pitchers hand.

Is there a way to correct this?

I just tried a couple of tweaks with the PBP and now I have Ball 1 while the announcer says "Let's get this game started."

Also, the PBP text lines are coming in in clusters. Instead of each line coming in sync with the what the announcer says at that moment, one line will comes as he says it, then about six or seven lines will drop with text before the announcer says it.

So I have text and balls/strikes before the announcer can say them.

I have no idea what to do here.

Some pitches before the play is likely the difference between "one pitch" vs "pitch by pitch" mode. In One Pitch mode, the game will skip to the "action" pitch, so you may have a few balls or strikes on the batter before the play.

Otherwise, it sounds like you're using the (experimental) text to speech options? In that case, the game is not designed to match them up. If you set the PBP to very slow, or to a custom setup with a delay based on the length of the line, you can try to get them close, however they will never fully be in sync. The PBP is set, generally speaking, to delay until after the relevant action on-field is completed. But it will not adjust based on the speech option.

Matt,

I figured it out. I put the Delay Mode to Per Character and the Delay Millisecond to 95. The ball and strikes now show when the pitch hits the catcher's mitt. That's what I was looking for. I have a lot going on in my life and had completely forgot that's how I did it on OOTP 21.

Thanks for replying, though. I appreciate it.
