This is how absurd the missions are getting

I opened 340+ packs today. Got 2 menial cards from the new missions. Nothing that would move the needle.

I don't know if I've gotten exceptionally unlucky this year, but I haven't even made it to perfect once. I have won ZERO WS, with a really good roster.

I know this is my last year, so I was trying to just enjoy playing it out, but I'm not even sure I'm going to play anymore after this mission update. I'm going to be way too far behind. I know apologist on here will say, "well you'll compete at whatever level you're at". No... not interested.

I hope to God other people are having more fun than I am. I started playing this during the pandemic, but it's run it's course for me. I've put up w/ the major bugs that haven't been fixed in years, but grinding tournaments, just to keep up isn't fun anymore.

No offense, but if you had 340k points, the AH would have been the better option.

340 packs@1 Perfect/1,000 cards means you should have drawn 1-2 Perfect Cards on average.

If you had 340k and were looking for new cards, why would you not open spotlights? The odds you pull any new cards in a standard pack is insanely low. Sounds like user error.

Maybe so, but who says he bought them? You can earn that many packs in about two weeks just by playing the game and collecting twitch drops. He flat out says that he is "tired of grinding tournaments".

lol... no. Standard packs are the best bet mathematically, especially for building cards for missions.

It is a game, so yes, it should be fun. Like you I would not play if it was not fun. I am pretty certain, though, your sentiment is rooted in frustration after those unproductive pulls. Which is likely to subside with time. I think the fact you are posting this at all and don't just quietly disappear is because you really do enjoy PT and are hoping OOTP will make the hunt more fair, as you see it. Lotteries are a crapshoot, some are going to be happy and many disappointed.

Have fun, my friend, and if PT doesn't get you there let us know if you found an alternative (simulation baseball fix).

You could have bought 2 of the Immortal cards for that...good ones, and gotten a third as a reward. Folks make money off saps like you...lots of it.

Yeah, feels like it's nearly run it course with me. Been playing PT since it started. Thing that gets me is a mission that you'll get 2 gold packs, but people are selling 40-50 rated single cards for like 5,000 PP. Really not worth finishing missions when you'll pay out the wazoo. I'll probably just play cresting univeres in regular game. This PT getting to be for $$$$ only folks. Don't wanna hear anyone with the I never spend a penny junk.

Absolutely agree. I loved PT19 and the next two versions. However last season was pointless and this year is total butt.

Given that I don't care for current MLB much, I doubt I'll purchase OOTP 25 when it comes out.

I went from never opening packs in the first iterations of PT to going packs only the last couple of years (FTP), but this year is a clear departure from previous years, where the value just isn't there anymore. I've not put as much time into the game this year due to lingering suspicions that the pulls from packs are not 'random', but something seems to have changed.

Just look at the value of these non-live diamonds. I don't think previous years' editions had such a wide range of worthless cards.

What also doesn't help is that I've packed at least 35 Perfects and only 3 of them were non-live (so either the devs abandoned the 70/30 split in packs, or I have been almost impossibly unlucky). The three non-lives were not worth more than 40K PP each.
I don't know where the value is to be found this year, but I agree standard packs aren't it.

All they want you to do is spend money, as i said in another post i am over 650 packs with no 100 other than 1 live and no i did not spend pp get the packs, I won them or twitch drops and other ways

the developers of the game have changed something in the packs they have had to cause standard packs are pure worthless

ever since the moble korean company bought this game it is all about money now
i wont be playing pt after this season unless they are more transparent with what you get from the packs

650 packs is such a tiny sample size. I believe I also mentioned this before, but I've gone 2800 packs without a non-live perfect, and 1200 packs without a single perfect of any kind (this was last season). I've also hit 3 non-live perfects in a 25 pack (should get 3 non-live perfects about every 2000 packs).

Sorry you haven't had the best of luck yet, but a small sample like that isn't indicative of anything really.

punished thanks for the reply, but if i opened 2800 packs without a non live perfect the game would be deleted and i am going to go to 1000 and then game is gone

not worth my time and effort some people dont get 2800 packs in 6 months
the sim game is great all the old team but i like the head to head aspect just needs to be more fair

I couldn't agree with you more...something is up with the packs...and I have opened at least 5,000 packs...it is almost as if they are somehow keeping track of cards you pull or something. There is something up with the overall game...There is something under the hood that changes what is important on a daily basis with tournaments when it comes to metrics or modifiers but something does change...Also, there is no way to explain, how you lose to a player that has 18 players on their roster, players playing out of position, everyone is exhausted, and you still lose in a 5 game series in the semi's of a tournament that you are fully rested, and they just played 10 straight games.

I hear you, I'm just saying that you could also have a great run of luck, as easy as a bad one.

Last year (and previous years), the quick tourney rewards were really strong (they've been nerfed in PT24), so a good F2P player could open 20-30K packs (I opened 35K+ last year). It's all relative - 2800 isn't that much when you're putting it into a 35K pack sample.

I just opened 3 rainbow packs and I got three live perfects and three live diamonds, lmao, so trust me, I feel the pain.

Next year, I'd recommend focusing on the live updates from the beginning if you want to be able to have more fun with the game. I made about 6 million PP off it this year (equivalent to $4K or so spent on the game), which is why my team is a perennial Diamond division winner. I've lost in game 7 twice in the Diamond WS; hopefully I'll break through and get to Perfect League eventually here.
