Some stuff that bugs me

End of the game, game takes you to the box score. If I click on player to see his stats page or to see what his injury is, the game will return to the game screen when I click out of the players page. I then have to go to the top of the screen and click on the box score menu. Petty, I know, but it drives me nuts.

I don't manage or gm, therefore I don't have a team. This means, the only way I can get emails with league highlights, events, trades, news etc., I have to choose "news from my entire world." This is fine if one is using reserve rosters, but if one is using minors, it turns into a complete mess. I can't use the newspaper as it's so cluttered. This could be fixed by adding a "fan" option. The "fan" option would allow us to select the league we want emails about, or which team. Or it could set up in a way that if I play in commissioner mode, I'm the commissioner and should get emails about the league I run.

I might be crazy, but I see people asking for alternate uniforms and such. I can't even use away uniforms. When I do, the game does the strobe flash to black for every away team player for the entire first time through the batting order and for each and every pitching change and pinch hitter. I just use all home uniforms and things are fine.

Why did the league with only one subleague standings page get changed so that the wild card standings show on the side of the screen that the second subleague would appear if there was one? This is fine for the standings, but awful for the league leaders presentation. I've been told I need a drive in movie screen for a monitor.

Still think there should be page similar to the awards page that displays each years batting champion, home run leader strikeout leader for pitchers. It would be really cool if this page was users choice, so we could highlight the accomplishments of our choice.

For Random Debut league, please give us the option to have all stadiums neutral (1.000) or allow us to use the historical park factors.

This is not me dogging the game. I absolutely love this game and this version is great. Just some things that bug me.

#2 - Here's what my setting looks like. I get only news from my Major League. This is the league that I don't GM/Manage, play spectator mode like you.

Not sure why it won't work for you.

Are you getting the daily emails with the day's news? By emails, I mean the story's that show up with the red bubble above the manager. Here is a screen shot. See the red 2 above Joe Mannix's name? Are you getting those? Name: got_plans_1947-04-26_18-01-51.jpg

I've tried everything under the sun. If I take the game out of commissioner mode, I get emails with job offers, but no news. In commissioner mode, I get no emails, unless I have it set to entire world. The only way I can get it to work with "news for your league" is to take a managing job and then quit the job. If I do that, it will continue to show the stories for the remainder of the season. I'm stumped.

I don't know what to tell you. I'm in Commish mode. Not that it makes any difference but I have the drop down set to General Manager for my "role". Also cannot be fired selected.

Again, those things shouldn't make a difference.

I've never been employed in this league.

Do you have "Do Not Disturb" on by any chance? Don't know if that makes a difference.

Can't think of anything else, sorry.

Is there a reason you don't jut hit "leave game" and go on from there? In the end you will be leaving the "play game" mode anyway so it's not an extra click. Once you leave the game you're taken back to the "scores" screen, hit the box score button and everything should work the way you want. I suppose one could call that an extra click, but if you're perusing the box-score this will save you way more than the one click it takes to open the box score.

Maybe I'm missing something?

If that's the case, why even have the game take you to the box score screen upon completion? It should just go directly to the scores page and I could decide if I want to look at the box score. It's not a huge deal, just something that bugs me.

Yeah that issue is new with '24. I posted about it in the bug forum awhile back. Like you said, not the biggest deal but I find myself not leaving the box score just so don't I have to click through again either lol.

IDK, I didn't code it.

I suppose to avoid how some would complain they had to click to open the BS when it should just open at game's end?

Anyway, I noticed and was irritated by this a long time ago. My answer was if I was doing anything other than reviewing the box-score itself, I was going to "leave game" and do it on the score screen.
I'm just trying help and suggest an easier path to travel.

When the game goes into the "play a game module" there has always been things that aren't available the way they are outside that mode. I assume it's due to memory use or other resources. That's my guess as a non-coder. Go to a player page while playing out a game and it's not the same page we get outside the playing a game mode. There's no facegen, yet there is in the game that's being played? I don't understand it, I just take it "as is" and move on. Under the contract tab the actual contract is not visible, but I think they're there in views (if included in your view) on the team screens.

I'd guess there's more things I'm missing.

I do get it's not a big deal to you, rather something that just bugs you. I have a few of those type of things in my game too.

Now I need to go back and look at 22 or 23 that are still on my computer. I thought it was there before.

But clicking links in the box score isn't something I do a lot so it's likely to be something I assumed when it happened to me in v24.

I would do it sometimes when I saw a quote by a player in the game notes blurb and try to guess what his personality type was by the post game quote lol. But yeah pretty sure it leaves the box score starting in v24 at least from what I remember.

Trade deadline has passed. You could put your install on irrevocable waivers, however.

Just fired up 23. OMG is correct. Click on a player, it takes you to the players page. Click out of it and it takes you back to the box score.

I opened 23 too but would have had to advance to the point a game needed to be played to check it out. Since I quit at season's end to import to v24 I didn't want to take the time.

Since it worked before maybe it's just something that snuck into the code and needs reporting on the bugs forum? IDK, I guess it couldn't hurt.
