BYP Season 3 Player Submission is Open

Season 3 of the Backyard Project is upon us and that means we are reopening the player submission form for returning players and new entries.

For those unaware of the BYP allow me to introduce it briefly. The BYP is a community-driven online league that streams via Twitch.tv and has a dedicated Discord.


While other leagues focus on a small # of people performing GM duties we focus on users submitting their own character or parody character to play in the league. This allows for a more RPG and individual feel for the league and also allows for users to watch their character develop over time. In addition to watching and cheering on their player and team users can earn points to upgrade their character in the offseason.

This creates a 200+ player league of 24 teams that compete to see who wins it all. Our inspiration for the project was an attempt to merge the backyard baseball video game characters into OOTP. We are now moving into our third season and looking to expand our player base.

We will shortly have a youtube tutorial on how to submit a character for those that find the submission form complicated.
