Ghost players not working right

I just started a historical league with the 1977 Expos. I selected full minors, but also fill out with ghost players who cannot reach the majors. I have 5 players on my AAA team. My one SP has started all 4 games.

Suggestions?

This is redundant because ghost players are not actually players, so of course they do not reach the majors. The options are to either use fictional players who then cannot reach the majors or ghost players. So sounds like you chose the former?

have they provided a way to easily denote the fictional players?
have they provided a way to not allow minor leaguers who never made it to the majors never reach the majors or only x percent?

The real players will have a "real stats" tab. The fictional players won't.

Yes, ghost players. I gave up on this save because my AAA pitchers pitched every inning for 20+ games, I had a doubleheader on my MLB team, and literally no one to pitch (MLB pitchers tired from an extra innings game the night before, AAA pitchers basically dead).

Restarted with reserves instead of minors.

Ok, with ghost players you of course will not have a full roster. You should have lineups full of "Joe Unknown". Those are the ghosts. Been a while since I used ghosts so not sure what the issue could be here. What I am currently running is historical with so far one layer of minors, three minor leagues. The minor leagues include a few independent teams. Am using full fictional rosters blocking fictional minor leaguers from reaching MLB. One thing I had to do was play with minor league roster restrictions. Currently the minor league rosters have no roster size limits. Also am sure to maintain very healthy FA pool, at over 500 FAs. But with OOTP who knows how long it will work. Reserves are the simplist way to go.

I've been seeing problems with ghost players for the last few versions - specifically with pitchers. It used to work fine - if you had two SPs in your rotation, they'd start games 1 and 2, and then Joe Unknown would handle games until your first SP was rested and ready to go.

Last few versions I found my SPs in the minors were constantly tired - pitching on three and sometimes two days rest. It seemed if I had 3 or 4 SPs in my rotation, the AI would try to make do with that number instead of creating the Joe Unknowns. I think I had to intentionally have a full rotation or an almost empty rotation (read 1, maybe 2 SPs) in order for the ghost players to work properly.

I feel like I opened a thread about it back when I first noticed it too - I'll dig around and see if I can find it.

Here it is - hasn't been working right since at least OOTP20: https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...d.php?t=302783
