Gold to Diamond issues

I always make the playoffs in Gold league, immediately get promoted to Diamond and can't compete at all. I am fielding all players that are 90-100, with all players having skills that exceed maximum thresholds (blue-dark blue rating bars). Bottom line is I'm too good for Gold and am not worthy in Diamond.

Does this happen to anyone else?

Yep. Not all 90s to 100s are created equal. One of my teams is half 90s and half 100s and I'm still in Bronze.

If a 95 is better than another 95 or if a 91 is better than a 100, then the rating system is flawed. Perhaps Perfect Team should not be rated based on a 40-100 card scale and instead be rarity based and just use the color system. Managers would then have to decide what ratings would best serve the team...

I don't read your results as showing that you are "too good" for Gold.

The OVR determines the quick-sell value and that is all. Each card already has plenty of ratings that enable managers to know what cards play and what cards stink, so the color code system is already in place!

There are certainly better 91 than 100s, especially between live and historical cards. Also a 91 might be better for your ballpark/team than a 100 depending on the particular attributes that makeup that OVR.

As Bailey says OVR is for quick-sell, but also for card rarity in packs.

I didn't mean I have the best record ever. More so that I am doing well enough to get promoted, but it's like going from AAA to MLB. My team just isn't good enough to get promoted!!

At this time of year every promotion becomes a challenge. All those times that your w/l is white in your history show at a glance that you need to improve to stay in Diamond. If all you want is to stay there then concentrate on getting the best Diamond/Perfect League SP talent.

It's very very very important for cap tournaments.

You need to dominate Gold before you can stay in Diamond any length of time. Until then, I rather enjoy being relegated to Gold and dominating there instead of middling in Diamond. But as you develop your team you will reach a point where you are stuck in Diamond. Your record in Gold clearly shows you are nowhere near to sticking around in Diamond.
