Challenge Mode?!?!?!?

I created a league and am in the 3rd season of it, and it's in manager mode. After completing the 2nd season, I was offered a contract extension. I rejected it thinking that it was possibe to negotiate for more years and less money or something. Once I realized you couldn't, I shut down my computer and turned it back on, only to see that it had been saved. However, I was able to sign an extension this time, but, when I go to my team page it lists my team (Boston) as a computer manager. When I click to change it, it doesn't change and when I try to right click on someone for a contract offer, it says that you cannot make offers for other teams in challenge mode. I've searched in the league setup and game setup and I can't find challenge mode anywhere.

All I want to do is run a career without something like challenge mode. If there's a way to get rid of it, even by deleting it fromt he program or something, and salvage the league it'd be appreciated.

When you start or create a league DON'T select "MANAGE MODE" and it will be "normal", quite simple you see
