Request: 34 Teams, 162 Games

Hello,

We have a 2S S1D1T9D2T8, S2D1T8D2T9 league structure in my online league and are seeking a schedule of around 160-163 games to get us through to our next expansion.

We would like a schedule with interleague enabled, and preferably a balanced schedule. Specifics are less important, though I think 112 intraleague-51 interleague would work fairly easily as a split.

If anybody is aware of a similar schedule that already exists and can point us in the right direction, it would be appreciated, otherwise, can a usable schedule be created?

Thanks for reading and for any assistance!

There are a few 34-team, 8- & 9-team division schedules linked in https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...15&postcount=4. Only a couple though are 8 & 9 in each subleague, and I believe only one involves interleague. That one would need to be adjusted to to fit your 9/8 & 8/9 division setup, but the bigger strikes against it are probably that it is only 156 games and the distribution is heavily divisionally-skewed. There are 12-15 games against division opponents, 3 against other league opponents, and 2 against interleague opponents.

If that one works great, but if not I want to drill into specifics a bit. What are roughly wanting with "balanced"? From the suggestion of 51 interleague games I am guessing you want every team to play every team.

Back of envelope I can see a couple different paths keeping it mostly 3-game series plus some 4-game. One would be about 8 games per division opponent (probably a mix of like 6, 7, and 9), 6 games per league opponent, 3 games per interleague opponent. More division skewed would be about 11-12 games per division opponent (again a mix of different numbers around that), and 3 games againat everyone else.

Sorry for the delayed response, I appreciate the efforts! Looks like it'll work well; I'll take it back to my league. Thank you a bunch, much appreciated.

No problem. I started wading into it when I had time and just went with what I thought would work rather than waiting for a response.

Note that I have just updated the schedule attached above. I realized that one of the 8-team divisions had some cases of teams matching up more often than intended. So now no cases of 4 series between teams, as all of those matchups are either 2 or 3 series.
