Issues with Mac APP store version?

I can't get through a second season with having to quit. Is it because I cut a historical 2012 league down to 24 teams? Is that what is causing the trouble? I have no idea. I played 00TP for years and I've never had this many problems combined as I've had this year. I have the Mac version on my iMac. I can't seem to get through a second season, without having some sort of glitch ruin the game. It's really upsetting because this time it is the off-season and i've put A LOT of time into this game. I was negotiated with free agents and without provocation, all of the free agents duplicated. When I started to manually go down the list of free agents, deciding which version of each to delete, I realized that some players that weren't free agents duplicated as well, screwing up the whole game. I've seen sort of issue occurs occasionally on threads and it seems the answers people get as to why this happens is that they must have loaded two separate games. I can assure you that's not what happened with my situation. I was just playing the game and all the sudden they duplicated. I didn't change a thing. I'm putting the game to bed feeling a little empty. Three attempts at a long-term front office ended badly. Thinking maybe I just got a lemon 00TP 24 from the Mac app store? Is anyone else having this issue? Does anyone else here have the Mac APP store version?

in case you need this to respond: I'm running Ventura 13.3. Maybe there's an issue there? Is the game tomorrow at risk when you cut down to 24 teams in the historic game and then cut it to 82 games. Does that put stress on the game? IDK, im grasping at straws.
